Team B, often referred to as Team Quant, is the specialized geophysics and stratigraphy unit within the Pompeii Research Project. Led by Dr. Elena Rossi, the team is defined by its total reliance on mathematical models and high-resolution sensor data.
Role & Function #
Team Quant's mandate is to map the subsurface of Sector 5 and Sector 4 using non-invasive technologies. They specialize in Predictive Stratigraphy, attempt to model the probability of artifact distribution before a single spade hits the dirt.

- Statistician: Dr. Sophie Laurent (Probability and ceramics).
Conflict with Team A #
Team B serves as the primary antagonist to Team A. Their frustration with Team A's "magical" success despite a lack of rigorous data led Elena to initiate a series of audits. They represent the "Hard Science" foil to Ulysses' "Shadow Architecture."
