Snapshot #
Siro is a lean, wiry master woodworker and the precision-obsessed half of "The Engineers." A freedman formerly owned by a celebrated architect, he is responsible for the complex frames, gear systems, and transmissions that allow Rufus's fire to move the House of Gaius's looms. He views the blueprints provided by Marcus as advanced geometry that he must decode with absolute perfection.
Biography #
Siro escaped the destruction of Pompeii by stealing a horse from his master's stables, a secret he keeps to this day. This guilt drives his obsessive need to build structures that are indestructible. When Marcus presented the blueprints for the Spinning Wheel and the Horizontal Loom, Siro was the only one capable of achieving the necessary tolerances in wood to prevent the machines from shaking themselves apart.
