Pompeii is a coastal city in Campania, Italy. In the traditional historical timeline, it was buried under several meters of volcanic ash during the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. History #
The city's fate changed on August 24, 79 AD, when Marcus used information from the future to convince Gaius Calidius of the impending eruption. The successful evacuation of the household and its assets allowed the city's commercial spirit to survive and relocate to Picentia.
