The Map #

Ulysses explains his source: "Marcus provides the landmarks. Landmarks that no longer exist on the maps. He remembers where the masters hid their work when the first tremors started."

In a flashback, Marcus is seen in a quiet, sun-lit studio, touching bronze scroll cases. He is Ulysses's map to the pre-eruption world.

Back in the modern day, Ulysses triangulates these memories with site data. Today, they find a copy of the Iliad—a version the world hasn't read in two millennia.

"According to Marcus," Ulysses notes with anticipation, "the poets had a very... creative interpretation of what happened at the gates of Troy."
